Curt and Outreach Bible Project

Hi! I hope that this letter finds you and your family well. I want to share with you a ministry opportunity God has presented to me. During July 27th – August 11th, 2012 I will be going to London, England for the 2012 Outreach Bible Project. The Outreach Bible Project began in 1984, at the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and has continued on through today, with the completion of the most recent project at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 1996 when the Olympics came to Atlanta, Georgia, Hillcrest Baptist Church was the sponsoring Church. Since then, Hillcrest Baptist Church has continued to be instrumental in promoting and supporting this ministry. We take the Bible and the Great Commission literally. Mark 16:15 commands us to go into all the world. And what better place to share the gospel with the world…then where all the world has assembled.

The Outreach Bible Project takes volunteers to the Olympics to distribute Bibles and tracts to the visitors who have come from all over the world. We do on the street evangelism and use our uniquely designed trading pins to share the gospel, one-on-one. We pray we will be able to see souls saved and lives changed in London, during the 2012 Olympics. This trip will also focus on allowing God to work in our lives through the personal enrichment that comes from this type of mission trip.

I’m excited about this opportunity and the experiences that lie ahead. I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise $1,600 plus money for airfare by early 2012. This cost includes transportation, lodging, and food for one week. If you can support me in a financial way, I would be so grateful. But most importantly, I need your prayer support. Without prayers, nothing can be accomplished. Though the trip doesn't leave until July 2012, we have to buy tickets and make other preparations now, so we need your prayer and financial support now, as the Lord leads you.
